Here is a double-use essential in the cake designer's toolbox!
Tylose powder (or CMC powder) makes it easier to work with your sugar paste. A few grams are enough to obtain a texture similar to gumpaste. For the dosage, we recommend one teaspoon for 250 g of sugar paste.
But be careful, that's not all! This magic product can also be used to make food glue! For this, count one measure of CMC for 30 measures of water. Let it sit overnight before using it.
