The brioche: a great classic of pastry
We all remember the good brioches of our childhood snacks, we tasted them plain or with a good spread or jam with its hot chocolate but where does it come from this famous brioche?
It comes of course from the region of butter: Normandy! And yes, because without butter, there is no brioche! It is butter that gives the brioche's crumb this soft and airy texture. The brioche has a long history behind it since it dates back to the 16th century, the century of the discovery of America and a rather peaceful period in France which allowed the birth of this treasure of delicacy!
An unchanged brioche recipe
The recipe for brioche has been the same for centuries: flour, yeast, butter, milk and eggs. Some purists completely omit the milk for a richer and lighter brioche, but we'll leave that to the professional pastry chefs because it's still easier to bind the brioche dough with milk.
In France, you will find the Nanterre brioche in its rectangular mould or the gâche, the braided Vendée brioche, but elves particularly love the traditional brioche with a head and this brioche mould is perfect for that!
A durable, non-stick brioche pan
With this brioche pan, you will have delicious, shiny brioches that will fill you with nostalgia.
You can use this mold to make classic plain brioches but don't hesitate to add a touch of deliciousness with milk chocolate chips or pink pralines. These ingredients will not only add new flavors to your buns but will also bring beautiful colors to them.
And of course, don't forget to sprinkle your buns with sugar pearls to make them real traditional buns!
