Stencils
Cake design stencil
Everyone has known the stencil to decorate his chocolate cake. A little powdered sugar is sprinkled on the stencil, it is removed and ouaaah... the drawing or text is revealed.
Cake stencils are an easy-to-use accessory for decorating cakes, cupcakes and cookies. They are usually made of thin plastic or metal and feature a cut-out design. To use them, simply hold the stencil over the cake and sprinkle a finely ground powder - such as cocoa powder, ground cinnamon or confectioners' sugar - through the stencil to transfer the design to the top of the cake.
Today, cake stencils are available in all shapes and for all uses: on cupcakes, cookies or a wedding cake. You can use buttercream, chocolate or even an airbrush to create your stencil decorations. It's simple and the result is beautiful.
Cake designers spread icing through their stencils to make the design stand out on the cake. They do this by placing the stencil on the sugar paste and using an angled spatula to spread a thin layer of icing on top to create a design that will stay in place. With this technique, the stencil must be removed before the icing dries.
Once your beautiful cake is poached, think about the birthday candle!
