The Crisco shortening
Crisco is an American brand of vegetable fat produced by B&G Foods. It was the first shortening to be made entirely from vegetable oil, originally cottonseed oil. Some cake designers use it to soften sugar dough. Crisco can also be used for a buttercream. Either with 100% Crisco or with half butter and half Crisco. The advantage of Crisco is its resistance to high temperatures. With a 100% Crisco buttercream you won't need to keep your cake in the fridge.
