Fractal Colors Full-Fill® gel food coloring will soon be your go-to for decorating and adding color to your baked goods.

These dyes with their gel texture packaged in tubes are very convenient to use thanks to their packaging. They are extremely pigmented: they will give you very intense colors using very little product.

What are the uses for gel food coloring?

Full-Fill® gel food coloring is water-soluble and will easily be incorporated into all your water- or alcohol-based preparations. The elves recommend using Full-Fill® gel dyes for :

• Colour your macaroon shells: dip a toothpick tip into the food colouring of your choice and gently fold the colouring into the egg whites, or after incorporating your almond powder and powdered sugar. However, if you choose to add your coloring after the almond powder and powdered sugar: be careful not to overwork your mixture or you will end up with flat macaroons! You can then add the coloring a little at a time until you get the color you want. You can also choose not to incorporate your food coloring evenly to get a nice marbled effect on your macaroons. Once the coloring is done and the mixture is homogeneous, all you have to do is put your preparation on a silicone baking mat for macaroons with a piping bag in order to have beautiful colored and uniform macaroons.
• Color your sugar and marzipan doughs: gel dyes are perfect for coloring your sugar and marzipan doughs. They allow an homogeneous coloring of the paste without altering its texture. To color your sugarpaste, dip a toothpick in your food coloring and then prick your sugarpaste with the toothpick to apply the color. Knead your sugar dough until you get a homogeneous color. Gradually add more coloring until you get the color you want. Then cover your cake with a sugar paste smoother or make prettycut-outs with cookie cutters. Elf tip: remember to prepare all your sugar paste at once or you may end up with 2 different colors of sugar paste!
• Color your royal icing to decorate your cookies: for once, your friend the toothpick will help you intensify the color of your royal icing little by little. It's better to have to add more coloring than to have to redo your entire royal icing because the color is too dark!
• Colour your mousses and whipped cream: obtain airy and colourful mousses and whipped cream by gently incorporating a touch of food colouring gel.
• Color your cakes in the mass: add a tip of toothpick of food coloring gel in your cake batter, mix your preparation until obtaining a homogeneous color, add coloring if necessary to obtain the desired color. If you want to make a rainbow cake, simply divide your mixture into 5 before coloring, color each dough in the desired color and distribute each of the colored preparations in the molds of the set of 5 molds for layer cake.

As you can see, you just have to go little by little, without overdosing, until you get the ideal color.

However, we should avoid using these food colorings to color chocolate.
